Power Leveling Your Paladin
By Mike Miller | February 19, 2010
If you find yourself interested in playing a paladin as you begin playing WOW, you will find they are one of the more versatile classes available. Paladin can fill any roll in a group whether or not they are tanking, damaging, or healing. They are capable of doing each of them equally well. If yo
When you are first getting started with your class, remember that you need to keep your seals up. Seals are paladin buffs that last for ten minutes. As a matter of fact, you need to make sure that you have a seal up before you can use some other spells. Consider what seals are going to be best for you, and if you are planning to group with others, consider which seals should be cast on each one.
Even though a paladin is not as reliant upon their equipment as warriors tend to be, they are still a plate class and you should look into your armor. You learn to wear plate at the level 40, you will need plate if you plan on tanking. Plate has much more armor than mail. But if you choose to be a healer, you should probably get focus on gear which increases your intelligence and mana regeneration.
If you end up by yourself you need to think about what you will do against a caster. Because you are a melee class, to attack you need to close the distance. It can be problematic if they are able to keep you at a distance not allowing you to fight back. You can stop a spell from casting by using Hammer of Justice, which is a good hint to keep in mind when you are fighting more than one caster.
If you decide to heal on your paladin you should consider one of the many useful addons. You are going to be relied on for your buffs through the seals, so it is best if you are able to keep track them easily. A macro will allow you to keep those seals up on your party consistently, which really will aid the group.
When you want to level your paladin, you should also consider what professions you want to take. Mining and blacksmithing are quite popular as they will allow you to create your own armor, but choosing mining and engineering will give you things to use for ranged attacks. Enchanting can also be handy, and if you are not focused on healing, consider taking herbalism and alchemy for the healing and buff potions.
It can be a little difficult at times to correctly level your paladin so a good power leveling guide will help you. You need to find the right power leveling guide for you if you want to excel at gaining experience.
