WOW Grinding Guide

By Fred Faber | January 14, 2010

In general, there are two reasons people grind in World of Warcraft.

1. To acquire gold. Grinding for gold is easier if you use a gold farming guide, so consider getting one if you are grinding for this reason.

2. To gain experience. Grinding for experience was once the way to go, b

ut these days, levelers have found that using game guides allows them to level much faster. However, some people still like to grind since they can do it while watching TV, listening to music, or whatever else.

While grinding has fallen out of favor recently, it still has a place in World of Warcraft. Activities like AOE grinding can still provide good gold and experience, and can even be quite fun. Grinding often gets a bad name since many people consider it to be boring. However, some people like to grind, and if you are one such player, this article provides some quick guidance. Some tips are listed below.

1. Buy the biggest bags you can get your hands on. Needless to say, you will pick up lots of loot, and having a lot of bag space will save you from making trips to vendors or the auction house.

2. Go to your options screen and set your loot options to auto-loot. This allows you to loot a corpse with a single click, and through the course of killing hundreds or even thousands of mobs, this will end up saving you a lot of time, and raise your grinding efficiency.

3. By all means, pick skinning as a profession. This cannot be underestimated. Many of the mobs you take down while grinding can be skinned. Most everything you skin will sell well at the auction houses, giving your gold earnings a nice boost.
